Welcome to the Foothills Prospectors

Welcome to the Foothills Prospectors official web site. We are an organization founded and organized to promote small mining operations and family recreational outdoor events. The Foothills Prospectors made application to Gold Prospectors Association of America for Chapter affiliation for the State of Colorado in the metro Denver area on August 4, 2009. The organization would like to thank and recognize the main founding organizer, Benjamin Underwood for all of his hard work in getting the organization organized and running. The opening meeting had over fifty persons in attendance and after introductions of persons at the meeting the group organized the “Foothills Prospectors”. The Club had it organizational meeting and election on August 4, 2009 and the Club is now dually organized.

On January 14, 2013 the Board of Directors held their Annual Board Meeting. The Club on December 10, 2012 voted to join the World Wide Association of Treasure Seekers as an Associated Club. The Board of Directors voted to become a Associated Club with the World Wide Association of Treasure Seekers. The Club’s Association with WWATS and GPAA will make for a mission to Preserve, Promote and Protect the right to the use of the Land and Natural Resources for “We the People” now and in the future. The Officers of the Club will be card members of the GPAA.

The Foothills Prospectors meet in their monthly club meetings on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The meeting location is at the VFW Post 4171 in Golden, Colorado and we thank that group of fine veterans for their hospitality and support of our Club and it’s membership.
